Residents of these regions have reported a lack of supplies in the "Pyaterochka" supermarkets. Shelves with drinks (mainly water), seafood, bread, and vegetables are empty.
Yaroslavl residents point out that the supplies have been diminishing since July 20. Some shops in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Oblast, do not have water. In Kostroma, supermarket shelves have been empty for more than a week.
Employees of "Pyaterochka" in Ivanovo Oblast claim they have been facing delivery issues for the past few weeks. However, residents started publicly complaining about it only in late July. Shop workers cite logistics issues as the reason for disrupted supplies.
The issue is caused by a personnel shortage at the X5 Group distribution center in Yaroslavl following recent immigration raids. The warehouse lacks 1,000 workers, as reported by 76.RU, citing the company’s press office. The X5 Group described the situation as seasonal and promised to solve the problem by bringing in workers from neighboring regions.
The Yaroslavl Oblast police last reported on raids on July 23. After inspections of construction and commercial sites, four individuals were deported from Russia, and the stay of three others was shortened. The previous raid was conducted in April and resulted in 18 deportations.
