Ralph Yirikian, General Director of Ucom, participated in the conference titled “Governance, Risks, Control: Promoting Cooperation” as a panel speaker.
The conference was organized by the Institute of Internal Auditors Armenia, bringing together around 200 leading professionals from Armenia and abroad, representing the private, public, and financial sectors. Ucom was a platinum partner of the conference.
During the panel discussion, Mr. Yirikian highlighted the importance of internal audit in corporate governance processes.
"Internal audit plays a crucial role in creating a healthy corporate governance system. When the executive management supports internal audit, governance processes become more efficient, which increases the organization’s transparency and positively impacts its reputation. Thus, an effective internal audit not only protects the financial stability of the company but also contributes to the success and growth of the organization," mentioned General Director of Ucom Ralph Yirikian during the panel discussion.
"We are pleased to collaborate with Ucom, which provided us with an exceptional platform to discuss the latest achievements and future trends in corporate governance and internal audit, as well as the prerequisites for their successful implementation in Armenian companies. Mr. Yirikian’s participation in our panel was particularly important as he brilliantly highlighted the invaluable role of cooperation in corporate governance and audit processes from the executive’s perspective. This is a great example of how effective partnerships can bring real value to our shared successes," noted Ara Chalabyan, President of the Institute of Internal Auditors Armenia.
It should be noted that the Institute of Internal Auditors Armenia is a partner of the "Institute of Internal Auditors Global" in Armenia. The Institute has more than 170 members from public and private organizations working in the fields of internal audit and risk management. It is the largest organization representing internal audit in Armenia.
