Freedom Broker Armenia is launching Freedom Academy, a new project aimed at raising the financial literacy of the Armenian population./pp ‘We are convinced that if a person is ready to invest in his/her education, and it is not necessarily about financial means, but also about time, it will definitely provide the best ‘return’. He highlighted the following priority areas of development: social projects, public education, supporting state programmes and working with the corporate sector./pp
In particular, he noted that Freedom Academy will prioritise socially disadvantaged families, children and military personnel within the framework of social projects./pp
Melkonyan also said that the university partners will hold biannual scientific forums on the topic of investments and implement joint educational programmes. Moreover, it is planned to co-operate with schools to help children build financial thinking from childhood./pp
He said that the educational initiative ed has both online and offline components. The courses will provide information on how the securities market functions and what underpins analytics.
