Digitised garbage containers equipped with GIS (geo-information system) are being installed in Yerevan./pp/pp 'This will allow tracking the process of garbage collection, Director of Garbage and Sanitary Cleaning of Yerevan Company Sasha Katvalyan said at a meeting in the City Hall on Monday./pp
He explained that thanks to the GIS it is possible to track - how many containers in the city have already been emptied and how many are yet to be emptied./pp ‘In other words, the cleaning process will become manageable. The new system will make it possible to monitor when a rubbish truck approaches a container and how long it takes to unload it,’ Katvalian said./pp
He assured that with the introduction of the new system, there will be no more problems with rubbish collection in the capital. ‘The process is planned to be completed in the near future,’ he said.-0-/p
