YEREVAN, 9 June. /ARKA/. Bagrat Galstanyan, Archbishop of the Armenian Apostolic Church, who is leading a movement demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, today called on his supporters to launch a 96-hour non-stop strike and protests starting tomorrow./pp
At this moment we have to make a decision. We can solve the problem (of forcing Pashinyan to resign) if we are on the streets for just four days, starting tomorrow, without a break, without going to work, without resting and without sleeping,’ the archbishop said at a rally on Sunday./pp
He also called on National Assembly deputies to hold an extraordinary session of parliament on June 11 and demand the resignation of the government./pp
On 10 June, the National Assembly Council should decide to convene an extraordinary session. The Parliament should make this government resign and form a new one,’ Archbishop Bagrat said./pp
According to him, only a madman can seek war, but also only a madman can seek to plead for peace, which itself is the greatest threat of war./pp 'Armenia cannot be an arena of clash of geopolitical forces, which is the ‘handwriting’ of these authorities, but should act being guided by the principle of coincidence of interests of the centres of power, the principle of partnership and interaction,’ the archbishop said./pp
He urged to abandon a foreign policy that has an ‘anti’ prefix, to become a predictable and reliable partner, to restore relations with partners, allied states, while gaining new allies and friends./pp
And the core of all this, the principle, if you want, the ‘red line’, should be Armenia's own agenda, far from servility and serving only foreign interests,’ the archbishop said.nbsp;/pp
