Exactly like any other skill in RuneScape
I know that many of Jmods are busy on this subreddit so that's why I fear they're gonna listen to the minority which wants to make it exactly like any other skill in RuneScape. Archaeology is unique and you guys absolutely nailed it IMO. Don't destroy it the XP rates due to a few people who don't know how MMORPGs work and you need to commit a good deal of time. If you considering changing something ask for the comment from your average Joe by making a poll in-game rather than on any media platform.
The one thing I believe I would tweak (This is coming from an Ironmeme) would be to place a"minimal" amount of resources in a cache to 5. Feels awful have it deplete in 1 and to go to one hit run to another to have it do exactly the same. I would make them private. Can make hopping pointless although not making me loathe folks, solving two issues in one go. That would work if they were made untradable because otherwise primary balances would alt-flood each of these for money. How is that distinct from woodcutting? I its just irritating thought jagex was moving out from sharing tools and nothing else. When the hype dies down even today there are tools that are void of individuals, it will be in the future. Its just annoying if somebody comes and then you have to hop or share. And the mats costs will crash. Despite being a resource that is shared, which can be useless, like logs.
They have actively changed the rules about multilogging to allow and in some ways promote it, while expressly avoiding doing anything around RuneScape players that exploit it to the scale of thousands of accounts. Years back it was a reportable crime. Playing within an ironman I do not know whether the xp rates are a issue so much as collecting materials is bottlenecking expertise, especially when you can get numerous artifacts before you have the materials to even restore you. The XP prices aren't balanced around the skill you're meant to purchase mats. Comparing ironmen to accounts, ironmen have significantly less than 1/3 the XP of the regular equivalent. Than it is a gathering one it is a whole lot closer to an artisan skill.
Running short on popular substances which have only bad material caches (hi Sivthril!) Is absolute distress. They all should be able to support at least 2 RuneScape players very similar to Orthenglass or Goldrune. Have to disagree. It would be dreadful game design to equilibrium a skill around the requirement to purchase things from other RuneScape players, especially in a fashion that encouraged botting. There is no way you can tell me firemaking was designed for you to go sit there tossing them and buy 200k logs that are assorted. In the development of RuneScape, it is super likely that fletching and firemaking were designed to be ground out by clipping at out your own logs. If they intended you to buy all your materials they wouldn't have taken to bring a exchange into RuneScape.
