Yuka Saso and Bianca Pagdanganan advanced to the third round while Dottie Ardina missed the cut in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in Bethesda, Maryland Friday (Saturday in Manila).
Saso carded an eagle aided two-under-par 70 to trail leader In Gee Chun by nine strokes while Pagdanganan shot a 73 for a share of 54th place.
The Fil-Japanese Saso tamed the course at the back nine where she eagled the par-5 11th hole while shooting three birdies against two bogeys.
Her other bogey came at the par-5 ninth hole.
She tallied a two-round total of 142 after a first-round 72 for a share of 14th place.
Pagdanganan, meanwhile, fired two birdies against a bogey and a double bogey to tally 147 after two rounds.
Ardina, for her part, limped home with a 74 for 150 to miss the cut by three strokes.
She struggled with four bogeys against birdies on the eighth and 14th.
