Kobe Paras returns to the Japan B.League but signs with a different team for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
After entering free agency, Paras, who played for one season with the Niigata Albirex BB, will now see action with Division 2 team Altiri Chiba.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Altiri Chiba,” said Paras in a statement. “Thank you to the management, team sponsors and the coaches for giving me a chance to play in Japan again.”
The former University of the Philippines star will still play under the Asian Player Quota even as Chiba was promoted from Division 3 to Division 2.
Last season, the 24-year-old Paras averaged 8.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 49 games with the Albirex.
Niigata, however, placed last out of 22 teams with a 7-45 record.
