Thomas Markle has finally broken his silence on Baby Sussex
And everyone is holding their breath...
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially ‘joined the parenting club’ this weekend, taking to their new Instagram page, SussexRoyal, to break the news that Baby Sussex had arrived.
‘We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz,’ read a statement from the couple via their Sussex Royal Instagram page.
‘The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days.’
But it wasn’t just the arrival that got people talking, but also the family’s reactions, with everyone from the Queen to Prince William and Kate Middleton announcing that they were ‘delighted’.
The Duchess’s mother, Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with Their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage.

Doria Ragland was present and the royal family made a statement on her behalf to announce her happiness. But one person who was left to his own devices to comment was Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, famed for his repeated correspondence with the press despite Meghan’s pleas.
‘I’m delighted to hear that mother and child are doing well,’ Thomas Markle reportedly announced according to The Sun. ‘I am proud that my new grandson is born into the British royal family and I am sure that he will grow up to serve the crown and the people of Britain with grace, dignity, and honour.
Thomas’ statement continued: ‘GOD bless the child and I wish him health and happiness, and my congratulations to my lovely daughter Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, and GOD save the Queen.’
