First international conference "Thoracic Surgery Days 2026" kicks off in Yerevan
ArmInfo. The first international conference, "Thoracic Surgery Days 2026: Horizons of Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery and Interventional Pulmonology," started in Yerevan. The event is being held at Yerevan Medical University, as reported by the university's press service.
According to the source, more than 40 leading specialists from Armenia, Russia, China, Switzerland, Spain, Israel, Thailand, and Malaysia, as well as over 100 delegates, are participating in the event. The agenda of the conference includes discussions on current issues in minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery, interventional pulmonology, as well as the use of the cutting edge technologies and artificial intelligence. Participants will be awarded 15 theoretical credits from the State Medical University.
Opening remarks were delivered by the conference chairman, Professor Shahen Danielyan, YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan, and President of the Association of Thoracic Surgery, Hovhannes Sarkavagyan.
The conference was organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Yerevan State Medical University, the National Institute of Health of the Republic of Armenia, and the Armenian Association of Thoracic Surgery, in partnership with several other organizations.
