Robert Kocharyan: War is inevitable if Nikol Pashinyan remains in  power

It's ironic that Nikol Pashinyan is trying to link the threat of war to the very man whose presidency saw the most peaceful years, without any clashes or even attempts, as  stated by Robert Kocharyan, the second President of the Republic of Armenia and leader of the "Armenia" bloc, in a podcast with  bloc members Agnese Khamoyan and Anna Grigoryan.

He was commented on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that a new war with Azerbaijan is inevitable if the opposition wins the upcoming parliamentary elections.  "We used to hear  threats from Aliyev, now from Pashinyan.I wouldn't be surprised if they soon start voicing threats against Armenia together," he noted.

Kocharyan called the prime minister the world's greatest enemy and threat, as the latter  doesn't understand what he's doing. The second president questioned the prime minister's analytical skills, recalling that before the 44-day Artsakh War, the latter completely ruled it out, including Turkey's involvement. "If he had analytical skills, would he have gone to Artsakh and declared, 'Artsakh is Armenia, that's it!,'" Kocharyan asked, emphasizing that Nikol Pashinyan lacks the ability to predict and still doesn't know what not to do in foreign policy.

He also assured that with a victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections, they would be able to implement peace guarantees in a short period of time. "When we come to power, there will be no war. And if we had been elected in 2021, Karabakh would not have been devastated. Because the Prague statement that changed the entire situation would not have been signed. The 2020 war should not have occurred, or we should not have been defeated. If our forces had won the 2021 elections, we would not have lost Artsakh," Kocharyan stated, noting that war is inevitable if Nikol Pashinyan remains in power.
