ArmInfo.Due to the US and Israeli aggression against Iran, the Embassy is urging Russian citizens and compatriots living in Iran to be vigilant, closely follow official announcements and recommendations from the Embassy and Iranian authorities, and refrain from being near military and government facilities, as noted in a statement issued by the Russian Embassy in Iran.
"The Russian Embassy is calling on citizens to remain calm, not give in to panic, which may be spread through the media and social media, and to refrain from taking photos and videos in any part of Iran. "The Embassy is recommending Russian citizens and compatriots to avoid visiting Iran until further notice. We also strongly advise those currently in Iran to leave the country if possible," the Russian Embassy's statement reads.
The optimal routes for leaving Iran are through Astara into Azerbaijan (please note that crossing the border requires obtaining the necessary permission from the Azerbaijani authorities in advance) and through the Nurduz/Agarak border checkpoint into Armenia.
