Delegation of Turkmenistan participates in the World Government Summit in Dubai
ArmInfo.The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov is participating in the World Government Summit, which is being held in Dubai from February 3 to 5, 2026.
More than 30 heads of state and government, as well as 150 government delegations and about 6,000 participants, including leaders of global companies, representatives of international financial institutions and educational institutions, are taking part in the Summit.
The summit agenda includes issues of global governance, the development of artificial intelligence technologies, climate change, and coordinated approaches to addressing economic challenges.
Speaking at the session “The Future of Global Alliances”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov outlined the approach of Turkmenistan to resolving the pressing issues faced by the world community.
It was noted that Turkmenistan advocates coordinated cooperation between states based on respect for international law, consideration of mutual interests, and the engagement of each country’s potential for the sake of sustainable development.
This approach is reflected in concrete actions. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan has taken the initiative to declare 2028 as the “Year of International Law”. Turkmenistan supports constructive multilateral cooperation, calling for a responsible approach, predictability, and openness.
During the speech, specific mechanisms for developing partnerships were outlined, including effective public administration, the exchange of expertise, and unfolding the economic potential of countries through transport connectivity and increased energy efficiency.
