Pashinyan: Diplomacy continues to institutionalize peace process
Pashinyan noted that the country's authorities continue diplomatic efforts to further strengthen the peace process and institutionalize it. During this period, a clear change in the atmosphere in relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan was observed, ranging from the riot, which underwent qualitative changes, to the supply of petroleum products from Baku. Today, the Armenian market saw a 20% drop in diesel fuel prices, which is very important given the upcoming agricultural work.
Pashinyan highlighted a tangible shift in the relationship between Armenia and Azerbaijan, noting that the "atmosphere has undergone a qualitative change." One of the most visible results is the start of petroleum imports from Azerbaijan, which has led to significant price reductions in the domestic market: diesel prices have dropped by approximately 20%, a critical development for the agricultural sector ahead of the spring sowing season. Minimum prices for premium gasoline have decreased from 510 drams to 430 drams per liter (a 15% drop) since the opening of trade routes.
As for risks, Pashinyan noted that the state system is constantly assessing them. The release of four more Armenians from Baku prisons also indicates a shift in the parties' positions.
