Avatar Fire and Ash Box Office Collection Day 12: In India, James Cameron's science fiction action trilogy is slowly approaching the 150 crore milestone. The Hollywood movie debuted here on December 19, and while it hasn't done as well as the second movie in the trilogy, its steady run has guaranteed strong returns that will last far into its third week in January.
Avatar 2 box office collection day 12
In just 12 days, Avatar 3 has made 148.15 crore in India. Even though fewer people are seeing the film in its second week, it has managed to survive despite fierce and persistent rivalry from the popular Bollywood film Dhurandhar. On New Year's Eve, Avatar 3 is expected to surpass 150 crore in India before starting its journey to reach 200 crore.
Avatar: Fire and Ash worldwide collection
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Avatar: Fire and Ash had made $760.4 million as of Sunday, with $217.7 million coming from domestic sales and $542.7 million coming from international sales. In the next few days, the movie is expected to reach the $1 billion club, and it will then compete with Zootopia 2 to be the biggest-earning title of 2025. Avatar 3 is expected to gross $1.8 billion during its initial run, surpassing the previous two Avatar films, which collectively earned over $2 billion worldwide.
Will there be Avatar 4 and 5?
There have long been rumours that James Cameron could stop directing the Avatar films after the third one. The filmmaker stated during the marketing of Avatar: Fire and Ash that the success of the most recent film would determine whether or not Avatar 4 and 5 be produced, even if the scripts have already been completed. This is because, as he acknowledged, each film is expensive to produce.
