We asked Naij.com readers to vote for their men and women of the year in different sport segments. The results we got were astonishing.
2015 was a great year in sports for Nigeria. Some of the highlights of the years are;
1. The National basketball team (D’Tigers) won Nigeria’s first continental title; Afrobasket 2015
2. The Golden Eaglets won a record breaking fifth FIFA U-17 World Cup title with the likes of Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Nwakali starring.
3. Nigeria produced Nigeria and Africa’s first world scrabble champions in Wellington Jigbere.
