Arsene Wenger has said it feels like Petr Cech has always played for Arsenal.
Cech joined from city rivals Chelsea for £10million in the summer and eclipsed David James's Premier League clean sheet record in the victory over Bournemouth.
The goalkeeper has already helped the Gunners secure valuable points and proved crucial as they progressed to the Champions League last-16 after a nightmare start.
And Wenger has praised Cech for the speed with which he has adapted to life in north London.
"I said many times that it is maybe the most underrated position in football and goalkeepers are more important than everybody thinks," the Frenchman said.
"When you look at his record it is absolutely fantastic, because considering the number of games he played and the number of games he had a clean sheet, that speaks for itself.
"On top of that I must say I am surprised how quickly he integrated into our team. It looks like he has always played here for us… how quickly he became comfortable inside and important inside the team, is amazing."
