Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez says the home fans must be respected after victory over Real Sociedad.
There was more whistles from the Santiago Bernabeu crowd during the 3-1 win.
"We knew that La Real are a team who play good stuff and that it wouldn't be an easy game. We had to dig in a little bit, but the team showed character and commitment and I we have to be pleased with the win. These three points are going to help us a lot and now we go to Valencia all out for victory," said Vazquez, who scored on the day.
"The crowd are entitled to do as they see fit, whether that's applauding or whistling. If they feel it was best to whistle, we respect that. The coach is free to express his opinions just like the crowd, and you have to respect that. We focus on playing and winning games. We're right behind the coach and we work hard day in, day out to get wins on the board. My New Year's wish is for trophies, which is what we all want."
