Super Eagles Youngster Weds In Style (PHOTOS)

The Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has tied the knot with his long-time lover, Ibukun Sarah Adenuga.

The 20-year-old player and Sarah tied the knot on Tuesday, December 29 after they both got engaged earlier in Abuja.

Super Eagles officials, ex-internationals and players were on ground to witness the blissful event which took place at the Ibadan Civic centre, Oyo state.

Tijani Babangida, Special Assistant to the Super Eagles Coach Sunday Oliseh, Super Eagles Media Officer Toyin Ibitoye, and Russia based Super Eagles midfielder Sylvester Igbonu were among the team crew who graced the colourful occasion.

Others who graced the occasion were Major League Soccer (MLS) player, Rasheed Olabiyi, AS Trencin of Slovakia’s Kingsley Madu, Sunshine Stars FC defender Benjamin Francis and Warri Wolves’ Joshua Obaje.

Speaking at the event, Simon said: “I have longed for this day to come, I really thank Almighty God who has made this day to come at last. It is a thing of joy to finally marry my beloved wife. I’m sure God has a reason he has brought us together.”

Kaduna-born Simon plies his trade with Belgian side Gent, and played a key role in his team’s qualification to the knock out stage of the Champions League.

He was also instrumental to Gent success last season as they clinched the Belgian league championship.

Moses Simon has featured seven times for the Super Eagles, scoring three goals.

The Gent attacker has taken a while to break into the squad but has proved himself worthy to be part of the team.

Moses Simon wedding comes just hours after another Super Eagles player, John Ogu, who proposed to his girlfriend on the football field, got married to his heart rob.
