Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez finalise divorce after two years of marriage
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have officially settled for divorce, marking the end of their two-year long marriage.
As per E! News on January 6, both parties have agreed on the terms of split, which appear to be amicable.
Often called by fans as "Bennifer", the two have a long history of relationship. Ben and Jennifer first dated in the early 2000s, getting engaged before parting ways in 2004. They sparked their romance in 2021 and tied a knot in July 2022.
According to the settlement, Jennifer and Ben will retain the earnings they individually acquired during their time together. Neither party will be required to pay for spousal support.
Following the divorce, Jennifer will also retain her maiden name "Lopez" after having to change it to "Affleck".
After a failed effort to make the relationship work, Jennifer reportedly filed for divorce just over two years later. However, the couple have been seen together at family gatherings before Christmas sharing a meal with family members at Soho House in Los Angeles.
The couple have no children together. In 2018, Ben divorced Jennifer Garner with whom he has three children and Jennifer Lopez has been married four times and has twins with singer Marc Anthony.
