As per a report in Sacnilk.com, Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun witnessed a significant drop on its fifth Thursday. Reportedly, the movie made around Rs 5.1 crore on January 2, i.e., fifth Thursday. On January 1, the film's collection was Rs 13.25 crore approximately. Thus, the numbers dropped more than 60 per cent on fifth Thursday. The major contribution came in from the film's Hindi version as it made Rs 3.75 crore approximately on January 2. The total collection of the film now reportedly stands at Rs 1,189.85 net collection.
Though the numbers have witnessed a drop, Pushpa 2: The Rule is still performing well compared to other new releases. Varun Dhawan's Baby John by Atlee released in theatres on December 25, however, it failed to perform at the box office. As per the reports, the movie directed by Kalees couldn't even reach the mark of Rs 50 crore India net in the first eight days of its release.
Talking about the worldwide collection of Pushpa 2: The Rule, the movie made a record breaking business of Rs 1799 crore in first 28 days. It is now the second highest grossing Indian movie of all time. It beat Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, to take the spot. The first on the list is Aamir Khan's movie Dangal. It won't come as a surprise to fans if Pushpa 2: The Rule dethrones Dangal to become the highest grossing Indian film.
