Varun Dhawan movie is facing the wrath as the film opened with Rs 10.75 crore on its first day and it managed to collect Rs 27 crore in its extended opening weekend of 5 days. The film could not even achieve proper figures at the box office. As per estimates, the film's net is around Rs 2 crore. The total earnings of Baby John is around Rs 31 crore net in India and it is expected to get a theatrical run around Rs 40 crore net. The global gross collection of Baby John could be around Rs 70 crore to Rs 75 crore.
Baby John is a story about the life of Inspector Satya Verma (Varun Dhawan), who goes around with the name Baby John and lives in Kerala with his daughter Khushi (Zara Zyanna) and his old friend, Ram Sevak (Rajpal Yadav). As to others, Baby John is a man of peace, but his past as a fierce inspector is revealed when Khushi's teacher (Wamiqa Gabbi) tries to uncover his secret. The story takes you into flashbacks when Baby John was happily married and got involved in a high-stakes battle against Babar Sher (Jackie Shroff), a powerful figure exploiting young women.
The business first dipped on the second day with a collection of Rs 4.75 crore and it was a 57.78 per cent dip as compared to the first day.
