But what if we tell you that fans speculate that the makers are planning to make a sequel?
On December 23, Dharma Productions shared a still from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani on their Instagram page. The caption reads, "Humein inse pyaar ho jaayega...phir se! #StayTuned." The caption got Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone fans wondering if the team is planning to release the sequel. In the comments section, one person wrote, "If you're thinking of a sequel please keep the same cast."
Another commented, "Waiting yjhd2." Another fan commented, "I would be happy to see a sequel!" A fan wrote, "Pleaseeeeeee part 2!!!!!!" However, some fans even requested the makers not to make a sequel as they dearly love the Deepika and Ranbir starrer. Further in this entertainment news, a fan commented, "Please don't ruin its my comfort movie." One more fan wrote, "Nooo you cannot do this please please please." One more comment reads, "Don't make it again, it's special memory, doing ruin it by making useless sequels." So is it Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani 2 update or just a tease for some commercial? Well, all we can do now is wait for Dharma to confirm the same.
Meanwhile, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is the second film, which features Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone on screen together. It was their first film after their breakup. The duo last shared screen space in 2015 in Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha.
