Sara Sampaio style file: meet the model just crowned the 'most valuable' new Victoria's Secret Angel
It is no surprise that walking the Victoria's Secret runway is a much-anticipated goal for every model to propel their career - let Gisele Bündchen, Cara Delevingne and Miranda Kerr serve as proof for this - but who is set to be the brand's next big thing?
This year's showcase saw 10 Victoria's Secret models promoted to Angel status, with Kate Grigorieva (Russia), Taylor Hill (Colorado), Elsa Hosk (Sweden), Martha Hunt (North Carolina), Jac Jagaciak (Poland), Stella Maxwell (UK), Lais Ribeiro (Brazil) Sara Sampaio (Portugal), Romee Strijd (Holland) and Jasmine Tookes (California) all finally earning their wings.
In a study by analytics company D'Marie - who measure the monetary value of fashion influencers on social media by combining their followings on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter as well as analysing sales conversions, engagement, and click-through rates - 24-year-old Portuguese model Sara Sampaio came out top amongst her fellow new Angels.
Speaking to the Huff Post, Sampaio admitted that becoming an Angel was 'one of the best days of my career'.
'Everything is exciting, form the fittings, hair and makeup, hanging out with all the incredible girls, and seeing friends you haven't seen a while.'
'But my favourite part is the actual runway. When I'm walking down the runway I am so happy - it's a huge adrenaline rush!'
