The 8th edition of the JK Tyre Orange 4×4 Fury roared to life today, setting the stage for a gripping contest of grit, machine, and nature. This flagship off-roading event was flagged off from the iconic Golden Pagoda Complex in Namsai by Shri Chowna Mein, Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, alongside Hari Singh, Head of Operations, JK Tyre Motorsport.
The competition unfolds amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Dambuk, a quaint yet adventurous destination. Over the next three days, 25 teams from across India will push their skills and machines to the limit in one of the most challenging terrains, testing their mettle against rugged tropical wilderness.
The JK Tyre Orange 4×4 Fury isn’t just about motorsports; it’s an experience that celebrates adventure tourism and cultural vibrancy. Part of the Orange Festival of Adventure & Music, the event combines adrenaline-pumping off-roading challenges with live performances and cultural showcases, attracting participants and spectators alike.
Shri Chowna Mein highlighted the potential of this unique blend, stating, “We aim to elevate this festival to an international level next year, combining competition with the cultural and natural beauty of Arunachal Pradesh.”
This year’s edition has drawn top competitors, including defending champions Team MOCCA from Arunachal Pradesh. Multiple-time champion Chethan Chengappa from Coorg, along with his co-driver Sanoj S, is among the frontrunners expected to make the event even more thrilling.
Since its inception, the event has grown into a key calendar highlight for both motorsports enthusiasts and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. The competition showcases the region’s untamed beauty, fostering a deeper connection between motorsports and local tourism.
