As per the latest reports coming in, Pushpa 2: The Rule star Allu Arjun has been arrested in Hyderabad. An FIR was lodged against him after a woman died in a stampede at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule. The incident took place outside Sandhya theatre when the actor arrived to the theatre at the premiere night. Fans wanted to catch his glimpse and it led to a stampede. A woman named Revathy lost her life and her son got severely injured. A case was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team and theatre owner. Today, he got arrested from the his home in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
The latest reports coming in say that Allu Arjun has been taken for medical examination. Reportedly, he has been taken to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad for medical examination. Another report in Times Now suggests that the actor has spoken to his counsel and requested for an urgent hiring of his plea in the High Court. Two days ago, Allu Arjun filed a petition to squash the case filed against him in the stampede case. He has now allegedly asked for an urgent hearing. The charges filed against him are under sections sections 105 and 118(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The sections pertain to culpable homicide not amounting to murder and voluntarily causing hurt using dangerous means.

Reportedly, the Telangana High Court has agreed for a urgent hearing of Allu Arjun's plea. However, Allu Arjun has been taken in for investigation on a Friday and if the proceedings take longer, his bail request may get pushed to Monday. With court being shut on Saturday and Sunday, it remains to be seen if Allu Arjun's team is able to secure a bail for him or urgent basis or not. Watch this space for more updates.
