While the latest series of The X Factor hasn’t been the show’s best year for ratings, Simon Cowell has pulled out all of the stops to create a must-see finale.
With Coldplay and One Direction already lined up to perform, the show have added yet another of the world’s biggest artists to sing in the final live round.
Yes – it’s Adele, set to belt out smash hit single Hello from her new album 25.
How will Che Chesterman, Louisa Johnson and Reggie ‘N’ Bollie react when they realise they’re sharing the stage with one of the most well-regarded singers of today? That’s one big act to follow.
It’s also said that Cowell has planned a grand farewell to One Direction as part of the X Factor finale, which will follow their performance of songs History and Infinity.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Simon knows the boys’ performance this weekend could be one of their last ones ever and wants them to go out in style.
“X Factor is where it all started for them in the first place so it’s the perfect place to do a proper farewell.”
