Saath Nibhaana Saathiya is one of the most talked about TV serials. It has been loved by many and the TRPs of the show were also amazing. We all loved the saas-bahu jodi of Kokilaben and Gopi. Rupal Patel, Gia Manek, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Mohammad Nazim, Rucha Hasabnis and others were a part of the serial. We also saw the second part of the serial coming out. The spin off show, Tera Mera Sath Rahe also became quite popular. However, one best thing about these shows was Kokilaben and her anger. We all have also loved Yashraj Mukhate's Rasode Mein Kon Tha song. The dialogues of the serial are still very popular.
Rupal Patel is a phenomenal performer and she did an amazing job as Kokilaben. She has done many other shows like Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke and others. Now, Rupal Patel is back in the news and this time for a surprising reason. She recently became a victim to deepfake as an AI-generated video of her went viral.
In the video, she looked quite different. She looked young and slim and glamourous. The video has got nearly 10 million views. She spoke to India Today about this viral video. She is not on any social media platform but is shocked to see the video. The video showed various women with Rupal's face superimposed.
She further said that she understands there are memes and dialogues edited with AI and it's definitely a big challenge, but she feels the audiences are smart enough to know what's real and what's not. Rupal Patel believes the audience truly loves and respect their stars and will not get swayed by an AI version.
She shared that AI is still relatively new in India, people are yet to fully grasp its functionality. She believes that it takes time to understand how to use such technology for society's benefit. The actress then went on to explain the advantages and disadvantages of the use of AI.
She said, "I feel they can always seek permission or keep us in confidence while using AI like this. Use the technology in a positive way, to make people laugh or simply entertain them. I'm hopeful that my face is not used for anything unethical."
