Udit Narayan's father was a Nepali and now his wife is also a Nepali folk singer. He was recognised as a hero in Nepali but in India, he is one of the top singers in Bollywood. He has given thousands of songs in Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Bhojpuri. He has also won the National Award 4 times for his singing.
