Navjot Singh Sidhu is in the news again for all wrong reasons. He has been through a lot of controversies earlier and now again there is a problem hanging over him. He had appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show recently with his wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu. They had some great conversations with Kapil Sharma and his team. During the episode, Navjot Singh Sidhu spoke about his wife's stage 4 cancer treatment. He revealed that his wife is now cancer-free after a year-long battle with the disease.
He had said, 'She defeated cancer not because we had money but because she was disciplined and followed a strict routine. Cancer can be treated effectively even at government hospitals.' He had given some simple statements but they have become a big problem for them.
His wife, has been served a Rs 850 crore notice from the Chhattisgarh Civil Society (CCS) over her husband's 'traditional' cancer treatment claims. CCS convenor Dr Kuldeep Solanki said that false claims like this are confusing people and making them think negatively about allopathic medicine and therapy. Navjot Kaur has been asked to produce "proof to back up" the claims within a week.
Their false claims have been endangering the lives of the people and she has been asked to call a news conference if she does not have the required medical records. Navjot Singh Sidhu had claimed that certain remedies helped his wife Navjot beat Stage 4 cancer after doctors only gave her 40 days.
A report in ANI also said that Navjot Singh Sidhu equated cancer with inflammation which is caused by milk, wheat (carbohydrates), refined maida and sugar. He has also spoken about Cancer feeds on sugar and how sugar, atta, maida, aerated drinks should be stopped. He said that this is said in ayurveda and by American doctors.
He also went on to say things like no sugar and carbohydrates is given to cancer patients then cancer cells die automatically. Well, after this the doctors got offended by his take on cancer treatments. This is how his statements which started from a talk show got so much drama.
