Royal Enfield has launched the Goan Classic 350, a motorcycle that pays homage to the vibrant moto-culture of the 1970s and 80s in Goa. Introduced at the Motoverse event in Goa, the Goan Classic is a bobber-inspired machine designed to embody the free-spirited ethos of its namesake state. It blends retro aesthetics with modern engineering to cater to riders seeking a laid-back and stylish riding experience.
The Goan Classic 350 draws heavily from the stripped-down custom motorcycles popularized during Goa’s countercultural movement. Features such as chopped fenders, a floating single rider seat, and whitewall tyres on tubeless spoke wheels give it a quintessential bobber appeal. The mid-ape handlebars and slashed-cut silencers enhance its distinctive silhouette, while its bespoke colorways celebrate Goa’s bohemian lifestyle.
The motorcycle is available in four vibrant color options:
Powered by Royal Enfield’s proven 349cc air-oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine, the Goan Classic produces 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The 5-speed gearbox ensures smooth gear shifts, delivering a relaxed riding experience, whether in city traffic or on long highway journeys. The engine’s tuning aligns with the bike’s bobber DNA, focusing on delivering a comfortable, unhurried performance.
Built on a twin downtube spine frame, the Goan Classic offers stability and control. Suspension duties are managed by 41mm telescopic forks in the front and twin rear shock absorbers, ensuring a balanced ride. The motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear aluminium-spoked wheels, shod with tubeless tyres for enhanced grip. Dual-channel ABS with 300mm front and 270mm rear disc brakes provide confidence-inspiring stopping power.
Modern touches include an LED lighting system, a Tripper navigation pod, and a USB Type-C charging port. The dashboard features a gear position indicator, while premium aluminum switch cubes add a contemporary feel to the retro design.
Royal Enfield has also partnered with Rafu’D to create a lifestyle collection inspired by Goa’s hippie counterculture. This includes vibrant, nature-infused designs that echo the spirit of individuality.
The Goan Classic comes with an array of Genuine Motorcycle Accessories (GMAs), such as custom seats, bar-end mirrors, a touring screen, and deluxe foot pegs, enabling riders to personalize their bikes while enhancing functionality.
Priced at INR 2,35,000/- for single-tone models and INR 2,38,000/- for dual-tone variants (ex-showroom), the Goan Classic is now available for bookings and test rides across India. With its unique blend of classic and modern, the Goan Classic is set to appeal to riders who value both style and substance.
