Marking the 30th edition of India’s legendary Independence Rock festival, Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles and BSA Motorcycles have continued their partnership with the event, celebrating the shared spirit of freedom and individuality that defines both rock music and motorcycling.
This year’s festival took place on November 16-17 at Bayview Lawns, Princess Dock, Mumbai, bringing together a diverse audience of over 7,000 music enthusiasts. Touted as the “Woodstock of India,” Independence Rock 2024 featured performances from top rock legends and emerging talent, alongside interactive experiences for motorcycle and music enthusiasts alike.
As part of their collaboration, Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles hosted the Jawa Yezdi Stage, a platform for fresh talent through a nationwide band hunt. Over 100 bands competed, with Kolkata’s Dreadhammer emerging victorious in the Tomorrow’s Headliners competition. The brand also showcased its motorcycling heritage and modern offerings at the Jawa Yezdi Experience Zone, featuring nine models, including vintage installations such as a Jawa 350 sidecar.
This year’s festival also included a two-day on-ground contest, culminating in a Yezdi Roadster giveaway. Over 120 Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA motorcycle owners joined special Kommuniti Rides from cities like Goa, Bangalore, Pune, and Mumbai to attend the event.
The motorcycles on display included the Jawa 42, Jawa Bobber, and Yezdi Adventure, alongside the iconic BSA Gold Star 650. These models highlight the evolution of motorcycling, blending heritage with modern design and innovation.
