The battle of the congressional bathroom policy sadly WAS on my bingo card for 2024.
I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.
It’s been quite the week for bathrooms in Congress.
After South Carolina Rep Nancy Mace introduced a resolution to prevent biological males from using women’s restrooms at the capitol, all hell broke loose.
The issue has seemingly been put to rest after Speaker Mike Johnson declared the sanctity of the women’s restroom shall be maintained for women only.
Congressional freshman and lone trans representative Sarah McBride of Delaware has also agreed to comply with the bathroom policy.
But something tells me this fight isn’t over.
I’ll be frank, I don’t think biological males belong in female restrooms or spaces. It’s a safety and privacy issue for women that should be respected.
However, I can’t help but be annoyed that this issue has taken so much air out of the room.
Don’t members of congress have bigger fish to fry and larger priorities to address than who goes to what bathroom in the capitol building?
Let’s hope our leaders on both sides of the aisle can resist the urge to make headlines and get to actual work!
Is that too much to ask?
