TV actress Niki Aneja reveals Pahlaj Nihalani asked her to 'compromise' for their movie, states how Shah Rukh Khan's set was different

Actress Niki Aneja Walia has made some shocking revelations about producer Pahlaj Nihalani. The actress worked in the 1994 film Mr. Azaad, which Nihalani produced. It also starred Anil Kapoor in the lead role. At that time, Niki was just 19 and stated how the experience wasn't a pleasant one for her. She even accused Nihalani of asking her to compromise with the distributors.

In an interview, Niki Aneja revealed that she felt uncomfortable and wasn't treated well during Mr. Azaad. She was a newcomer and realised there was more to acting than what people said. "Ye jo casting couch hai, 'Compromise kar lo kya problem hai... aapki journey jaldi ho jayegi.' When people talk about these things around you, I don't resonate with them." Aneja wanted to wake up and respect the person she sees in the mirror. The actress stated that whatever she learnt during the movie's shoot is her wealth but the experience out of the shoot during rehearsals and promotions is something she can't do.

Further in this entertainment news, Niki told Siddharth Kannan that she even confronted Pahlaj Nihalani and he tried to justify his actions. "I actually went and told Pahlaj ji, why do you take me for these dinners? And he told me, 'Picture nahi bechni hai kya?' I remember asking just one thing to him, 'Anil Kapoor ko sign kar ke aap picture nahi bech sakte kya?' From that day on, I became infamous on the sets. It was not pleasant for me," revealed Niki Aneja.

After the experience on the sets of Mr. Azaad, Niki decided she would not do any movie after Yess Boss. Niki also stated how the experience of working on Shah Rukh Khan's movie was different and opposite of what she experienced on Nihalani's movie sets.
