VTB Bank (Armenia) and Best payment system are launching a joint new service in the money transfer market. In addition to the current two methods of receiving money transfers (within the network and through the call center), the new service enables the customers to get the money remitted directly to their bankcards. The press office of the Bank has told ArmInfo that when using the new service, which is available round the clock, the remitter pays a fee only for the transfer through the Best payment system.
The source says that to make use of the service, the recipients - VISA or MasterCard holders of VTB Bank (Armenia) - should inform the remitter beforehand of the last 4 figures of his/her card account and the last 5 figures of the passport number. When remitting the money, the remitter is to inform an employee of the sending bank of the specified data and point out that the money is being transferred to VTB Bank (Armenia). The money is automatically transferred to the VTB Bank (Armenia) cards in the currency, in which the money has been remitted (i.e. if the money is transferred in terms of Russian rubles and the card has three accounts - in terms of AMD, USD and RUR - the money is remitted to the RUR account). If the recipient's card has no account in the currency of the transfer, the money is converted into the currency, which is a priority in the card accounts.
To recall, the following money transfer systems operate at VTB Bank (Armenia): MoneyGram, "Avers", "Unistream", "Fast Mail" ("Bystraya Pochta"), "InterExpress", "Intel …xpress", "Anelik", "Ria Money Transfer", "Sigue Money Transfer", which ensure the Bank's high competitiveness on the market of banking services provided to the population.
VTB Bank (Armenia) CJSC joined VTB Group in April 2004 and is fully owned by VTB Group, the second biggest bank in Russia. VTB Bank (Armenia) is one of the leaders of Armenia's banking sector. It has the largest branch network in Armenia.
