Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has been reflecting on how he rates the Saints season so far.
"We had not a good run in our results but you now look to the table and if you win next weekend then maybe you are sixth.
"This season everybody is being close to each other. You say maybe Crystal Palace are having a better season [than Southampton] but maybe after Saturday not.
"Our position is still to aim for the highest place in the table but first of all I would like to play football – then we know we can beat everyone."
As for the rest of the season and the transfer window the Dutchman added: "We have to show more consistency. We have to finish more chances and then we can show we have a strong team."
"We are looking always to see what we can do to make the squad stronger but it is not about doing many changes in the team. If we need somebody it will be an offensive player and the rest I think we have really good competition."
Will there be any outgoings? "We also know that nobody is for sale."
