Sindisiwe Manqele has been granted bail of R15 000, a day after she was found guilty of Nkululeko "Flabba" Habedi's murder.
|||Johannesburg - Sindisiwe Manqele was granted bail of R15 000 on Thursday, a day after she was found guilty of the murder of her rapper boyfriend Nkululeko “Flabba” Habedi.
Acting Judge Solly Sithole said Manqele must report to the Midrand police station every Monday and Friday.
Sentencing proceedings have been set down for March 9.
Convicting Manqele on Wednesday, Sithole rejected her version that she acted in self-defence when she fatally stabbed the Skwatta Kamp rapper near his heart.
Instead, the judge found that her version of events was “not reasonably or possibility true and should therefore be rejected”.
“The State has proved the case beyond reasonable doubt and the accused is found guilty of the murder of Mr Habedi, as charged,” the judge said while delivering his 50-page judgment.
Manqele spent Wednesday night in prison.
