Hopefully, the Force will be with drivers in Hollywood over the next few days, because traffic will be a nightmare, on par with the Death Star!
The premiere of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” isn’t until Monday, but Hollywood Boulevard is already being shut down intermittently between Highland and La Brea avenues.
According to Fox 11 Los Angeles, the first closure started Wednesday at midnight and lasted until 6 am. The closure will be repeated from midnight until 6 a.m. Thursday. Hollywood Boulevard will close again at 11 p.m. Thursday, and remain blocked off until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Hawthorn Avenue will also be closed Monday between Highland and Orange Drive.
Although Disney has not announced exactly where “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will premiere, the TCL Chinese Theatre, El Capitan and the Dolby Theatre are all on the same block.
The TCL Chinese Theatre is scheduled to host the premiere of “Point Break” the night after “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” on Tuesday, closing Hollywood Boulevard from 10 a.m. on Dec. 15 until midnight that night.

While that particular part of the road will reopen overnight, it will close again at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16 for the premiere of “The Revenant” at the Chinese Theatre.
Basically, drivers should just avoid the area for the next week.
