Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora's father Anil Mehta died on September 11. It came as a shocker to all as reportedly, he died by suicide. He jumped off from the sixth floor of his building and passed away, say reports. Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora immediately rushed to their parents' home to be by the side of their grieving mother. The funeral was held yesterday. Anil Mehta is said to be the step-father of Malaika and Amrita. In this time of grief, many Bollywood celebrities showed up to offer support. But the constant ones were Salim Khan and family.
Arbaaz Khan who is Malaika Arora's ex-husband was the first one to reach at her parents' home when the news of Anil Mehta's demise made headlines. He reached even before the actress who was traveling to Pune could return to Mumbai. Not just Arbaaz Khan, his entire family paid Malaika Arora a visit. Salim Khan and wife Sushila Charak took support of Sohail Khan and his son Nirvaan to visit Malaika's parents' residence. Helen also was papped by the shutterbugs. Arbaaz Khan's sister Arpita Khan and Alvira Agnihotri paid their last respects and were by Malaika's side during the tough times.
Salman Khan who was busy shooting for his upcoming film Sikander took a break and last evening and was seen visiting ex-sister-in-law Malaika Arora. Though Arbaaz and Malaika are divorced, the Khan family proved that their bond with her is thicker than anything else. They do share a cordial relationship and everything takes a backseat when struck by a major shock of someone's demise. Arbaaz Khan is now married to Sshura Khan and in fact, even she was present during the cremation of Anil Mehta. Some bonds don't change and Khans do know how to to support each other and be there when in need.
On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor stood by Malaika Arora like a solid support. Even though there were rumours suggesting that they have broken up, in the time of need, he spent the entire day standing by her as she mourned her loss.
