According to the Committee, an Armenian citizen arriving on the Sharjah-Yerevan flight was searched and his luggage was subjected to customs inspection. As a result, a diamond and a ‘GIA’ certificate were found in his passport pouch. Seventeen diamonds were also found in a packet of cigarettes./pp
Ninety-four diamond certificates with various entries were found in this citizen's suitcase. Also 3 polythene bags with diamonds were found in the suitcase and 91 diamonds of different sizes were found in the waistband of his trousers./pp
Thus, the citizen concealed from customs control 109 diamonds of different sizes, as well as 3 bags with small stones similar to diamonds, with a total weight of 69 grams. -0-/p
