Donald Trump signaled support for government-funded IVF treatment.
Is this too much?
I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.
I get that reproductive rights is a vulnerability for Republicans and the Trump campaign but I’m not so sure Trump’s newest proposal is the way to address it.
Last week in an interview with NBC News, Trump not only vowed to protect IVF treatments but also for government to fund them or mandate insurance companies cover them.
That’s one way to attract female voters but is it the right way?
I’m a little concerned with this proposal for a number of reasons. First and foremost, as much as I support access to IVF treatments, government/taxpayer funded IVF is a bridge too far.
As for an insurance mandate, I wonder how that’ll impact already high insurance rates and fear customers will be left holding the bag either way.
Trump’s heart is in the right place but this proposal is a little much for me.
As a conservative, I want the government OUT of healthcare, not paying for it or mandating it this way!
