(Washington, DC) – Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), and the DC Department of General Services (DGS) announced that spray parks and select outdoor pools will remain open until Sunday, September 22. Originally, all outdoor pools and spray parks were scheduled to close for the season on Labor Day.
“We are excited to provide residents outdoor pool options in addition to our indoor pools to close out the summer season,” said DPR Director Thennie Freeman. “The locations that will remain open were selected to be most equitable to residents with one pool on both sides of the city and all DPR spray parks.”
The following outdoor pools will remain open six days a week, from 10 am – 6 pm, until Sunday, September 22:
