The United States military has about twenty five hundred active Military Working Dogs (MWDs) with nearly a thousand of them deployed at any given time. They serve and protect our country in missions that span land, air and sea. Since 2014, the group ‘Paws of War’, works to reunite service animals with their handlers so their furry friends can live out their years in a loving home.
FOX’s Tonya J. Powers speaks with Carlos Aranda, U.S. NAVY Master of Arms, and Niki Dawson, Director for ‘Paws of War’, about the latest reunion and the impact of the mission for both soldier and dog.
