"Orinats Yerkir" not going to appeal against referendum results

 Orinats Yerkir (Law-Governed Country) Party will not initiate the process of appealing to Constitutional court against the referendum results "for obvious reasons". The party will instead start to prepare for the upcoming elections, the statement of Orinats Yerkir says. 

Use of ID cards at the voting on the Constitutional amendments resulted in multiple cases of double voting and serious violations of electoral process, the OY statement says. The facts of bribing the members of electoral commissions, enlarged lists and distributing of money are of special concern, It s noted that administrative resource and criminal groups were used, due to activities of which thousands and thousands of citizens became organizers and participants of fabrications. 

The party demands from the law enforcement bodies to conduct effective steps for objective examination of all the cases, registered by mass media and in social networks. 

At the same time, Orinats Yerkir states that it will not initiate process of appealing against the referendum results for obvious reasons, as on the first hand it does not have enough number of votes in the parliament, and on the second hand, considers that this process will not affect the final results of the referendum. The Party states that it is adherent of systematic changes and will continue fight in the frameworks of activities of "Armenian Rebirth" social-political union.  The Party informs, that it will work toward mobilization of its resources for participating in the upcoming elections.
