Hero MotoCorp is set to introduce a refreshed version of its premium scooter, the Destini 125. While the exact launch date remains undisclosed, it’s speculated that the new model will make its debut in the first week of next month. Launched around six years ago, the current Destini 125 has seen minimal changes over the years, making this update a significant one.
The latest teaser hints at a retro-inspired design for the upcoming Destini facelift. The scooter’s curvy and minimalistic body panels evoke a classic aesthetic. Key changes include a redesigned front apron featuring new lighting elements and curvy layers that extend to the front fender, headlight, and cowl. The teaser also highlights a copper-colored trim piece integrated with the turn indicators, along with a new LED headlamp.
At the rear, the scooter adopts a slimmer and more refined look, with updated LED tail lamps and indicators replacing the bulkier units from the previous model. The new Destini 125 will ride on black alloy wheels and will feature a ventilated disc brake at the front, equipped with a Bybre caliper.
While technical specifications remain under wraps, the updated Destini is expected to retain the 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine from the outgoing model. This engine delivers 9 BHP at 7,000 rpm and 10.4 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The new Hero Destini is anticipated to launch during the upcoming festive season. Though it may come with a slight price increase, it is expected to remain one of the most affordable 125cc scooters in India.
