Hyundai Motor India is set to launch the 2024 Alcazar facelift in the country on September 9. Following the opening of bookings for the 6/7-seater SUV last week, the IPO-bound carmaker has now unveiled the vehicle’s refreshed interiors.
The bold new Hyundai ALCAZAR makes an immediate impression with its bold and dynamic exterior. The SUV features a new, more prominent grille design, a redefined hood, and a rugged front bumper complemented by a sleek new skid plate. The all-new H-shaped LED DRLs and quad-beam LED headlamps enhance the vehicle’s formidable character, ensuring that it turns heads wherever it goes.
Further accentuating its bold presence are the R18 diamond-cut alloy wheels and black-painted cladding, which give the SUV a strong, assertive stance. The unique bridge-type roof rail and modern rear design, featuring a new spoiler, bumper, and connected LED tail lamps, contribute to its elevated and futuristic appearance.
The introduction of a sequential function in the new LED turn signals not only enhances the premium aesthetic of the ALCAZAR but also improves road safety, making it a perfect blend of style and functionality.
Step inside the bold new Hyundai ALCAZAR, and you are greeted with a cabin that exudes luxury and calm. The interior is adorned with a dual-tone Noble brown and haze navy color scheme, creating a serene and premium atmosphere. The integrated infotainment and digital cluster screens, along with the trendy horizontal ventilation architecture, add to the high-tech feel of the cabin, while the quilted seat pattern detail underscores the SUV’s plushness.
For those who value comfort and convenience, the ALCAZAR does not disappoint. The 6-seater variant is equipped with captain seats in the second row, offering enhanced cushioning and a folding armrest for easy access to the third row. The 7-seater variant, on the other hand, features a seat tumble mechanism for effortless ingress and egress, ensuring comfort and convenience during long journeys.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “The bold new Hyundai ALCAZAR has been meticulously crafted to offer a blend of robust design and unmatched comfort. With its commanding presence characterized by a bolder, taller, and wider stance, the ALCAZAR radiates grandeur and sophistication. This premium SUV is designed to offer an unparalleled experience, making it the ideal choice for both city commuters and those embarking on long journeys.”
The new Hyundai Alcazar facelift retains the powertrain options from the outgoing model. It offers a 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol engine delivering 160PS and 253Nm of torque, alongside a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine producing 116PS and 250Nm. The petrol engine is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, while the diesel engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter.
Hyundai plans to reveal the pricing for the Alcazar facelift on September 9. It is anticipated that the new model will carry a slight premium over the current prices, which range from Rs 17 lakh to Rs 21 lakh for the petrol variants and from Rs 18 lakh to Rs 22 lakh for the diesel versions. Upon its launch, the Alcazar facelift will compete with other three-row SUVs in the Indian market, including the Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
