Man Utd midfielder Schweinsteiger facing 3-match ban
Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger could be hit by a three-match ban.
During Saturday's 0-0 draw, the German was seen by the television cameras apparently eyeing West Ham defender Winston Reid before driving his forearm into his throat as United prepared to take a free kick.
Referee Mark Clattenburg didn't see the incident, nor did his assistants, meaning retrospective action can be taken.
Both Reid and Hammers boss Slaven Bilic accused Schweinsteiger of deliberately assaulting the defender.
Reid said: “He knows what he's done — he's elbowed me in the face."
