Arshad recently spoke about Kalki 2898 AD in a podcast with Unfiltered With Samdish. He spoke about the movie and criticised the film. He also called Prabhas a 'joker'. Arshad showered praises on Amitabh Bachchan and loved him as Ashwatthama. He has been trolled for his words and people have not liked him saying such things to Prabhas. Many celebrities like Nani, Sudheer Babu also criticised him.

He shared a picture with his wife, Maria Goretti, and daughter on the occasion of Independence Day. But he has now disabled comments on the post. He had captioned the post, "HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY Jai Hind."
Talking about Prabhas, Arshad had said, "Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata." His comments are creating waves in entertainment news.
Recently, the director of Kalki 2898 AD, Nag Ashwin has reacted to this and said that Arshad could have constructed his comments in a better way.
She took to X and wrote, "Let's not go backwards..no more north-south or bolly vs tolly..eyes on the bigger picture.. United Indian Film Industry..Arshad saab should have chosen his words better..but it's ok..sending buji toys 4 his kids..il work hard so tweets fdfs that prabhas was the best ever in k2."
