YEREVAN, August 22. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has approved a decision to implement color-coded markings for four different types of parking zones in Yerevan. The decision, made during a government session on Thursday, aims to improve the distinction between various parking areas in the city./pp
Currently, all paid parking spots in Yerevan are marked with red lines, making it difficult for drivers to differentiate between municipal and service vehicle parking zones./pp
Under the new system, paid municipal parking spots in Zone A, which covers the central area of the city, will remain red. In Zone B, which includes the Arabkir district and areas outside of Zone A, the parking spots will be repainted blue./pp
Parking spots designated for service vehicles across different parts of the city will be marked with white lines./pp
Additionally, it was noted that electric vehicles currently have the right to park for free in municipal parking areas. However, businesses will have the option to create paid parking spaces equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles, which will be marked with green paint./p br br
