Virat Kohli is a brilliant cricketer who consistently delivers memorable performances on the field, capturing the hearts of fans worldwide. Over the years, he has not only showcased his exceptional skills, but he has also led the Indian team as captain, winning admiration from all. Beyond cricket, Virat has a passion for movies, dancing, and having fun. His love for acting is well-known, as he has appeared in numerous commercials, including a shampoo ad over a decade ago, where he first met his now-wife, Anushka Sharma. But should Kohli venture into movies, after retiring from cricket? Renowned Bollywood casting director Mukesh Chhabra has shared his thoughts on the matter.
In an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Mukesh Chhabra was asked about Virat Kohli potentially pursuing an acting career after retiring from cricket. The casting director said that Virat is already a talented actor in his own way, but he shouldn't get into movies. Mukesh explained that Virat, who is from Delhi and Punjabi, has lived and handled success very well. Chhabra highlighted how the cricketer has maintained himself in various aspects, including competition, looks, fitness, and mental strength.
Mukesh Chhabra also praised Virat Kohli for his personal life, mentioning how the cricketer enjoys Chole Bhature and seems to be a wonderful husband and father. The casting director recalled meeting Virat at a party 5 6 years ago and pointed out how Virat has grown into a role model for many young cricketers. He described Kohli as a role model for everyone.
In further weighing in on why Virat Kohli should stay away from working in Bollywood movies, the Dil Bechara director said that the cricketer has a great sense of humour. Mukesh called Virat funny, saying that he loves to dance, mimic, and has excellent comic timing. Chhabra believes that Kohli is doing a great job of making the country proud and should continue focussing on his cricket legacy rather than working in films, even after retirement.
Virat Kohli is currently in London with his wife, Anushka Sharma, and their children, Vamika and Akaay. According to reports, the couple is considering moving to the UK to provide a better life for their kids and to enjoy more privacy away from the spotlight.
